       atof - convierte una cadena a un double.

SINOPSIS

       double atof(const char *nptr);

DESCRIPCIÓN

       La  función  atof()  convierte  la  porción  inicial  de  la  cadena  apuntada  por  nptr a un double. El
       comportamiento es el mismo que

              strtod(nptr, (char **)NULL);

       excepto que atof() no detecta errores.

VALOR DEVUELTO

       El valor convertido.
