SINOPSIS

       #include <strings.h>

       [[a extinguir]] char *index(const char *s, int c);
       [[a extinguir]] char *rindex(const char *s, int c);

DESCRIPCIÓN

       index() es idéntico a strchr(3).

       rindex() es idéntico a strrchr(3).

       Emplee strchr(3) y strrchr(3) en lugar de estas funciones.

ESTÁNDARES

       4.3BSD;  marked  as  LEGACY  in  POSIX.1-2001.  POSIX.1-2008 removes the specifications of
       index()  and rindex(), recommending strchr(3) and strrchr(3)  instead.
