NAME

       ec2-describe-snapshots - Describe snapshots

SYNOPSIS

        ec2dsnap ([ec2-describe-snapshots])
        ec2dsnap [GENERAL OPTIONS] [SNAPSHOT [...]] [-a] [-o OWNER [...]] [-r USER [...]]

GENERAL NOTES

Any command option/parameter may be passed a value of '-' to indicate
that values for that option should be read from stdin.

DESCRIPTION

List and describe previously created snapshots and snapshots for which
you have CreateVolume permissions. The SNAPSHOT parameters, if specified,
list specific snapshot(s) to be described.
If no parameters are specified, all snapshots owned by you or
explicitely shared with you, are described.
With parameters, the result set is the intersection of the snapshots
explicitely named, the snapshots owned by the specified owner(s), and
the snapshots with CreateVolume permissions as specified.
        Examples:
         -o -r returns
        ----------+---------------+--------------------------------------------
self self or <null> only your snapshots
self all snapshots you have shared publicly
self <userid> snapshots you have shared with <userid>
<userid> self snapshots <userid> has shared with you
<userid> all snapshots <userid> has shared publicly
         <userid> <null> snapshots <userid> has shared publicly
                                     or with you
<null> self your snapshots and snapshots any other user
                                     has shared with you
