REQUEST ARGUMENTS

conn The XCB connection to X11.

REPLY FIELDS

       response_type
The type of this reply, in this case XCB_SHM_QUERY_VERSION. This field is also present in the
xcb_generic_reply_t and can be used to tell replies apart from each other.

sequence The sequence number of the last request processed by the X11 server.

length The length of the reply, in words (a word is 4 bytes).

       shared_pixmaps
True if the server supports shared pixmaps, otherwise false.

       major_version
The major version of the extension supported.

       minor_version
The minor version of the extension supported.

uid The UID of the server.

gid The GID of the server.

       pixmap_format
                 TODO: NOT YET DOCUMENTED.

DESCRIPTION

This is used to determine the version of the MIT-SHM extension supported by the X server. Clients MUST
NOT make other requests in this extension until a reply to this requests indicates the X server supports
       them.

RETURN VALUE

Returns an xcb_shm_query_version_cookie_t. Errors have to be handled when calling the reply function
       xcb_shm_query_version_reply.

If you want to handle errors in the event loop instead, use xcb_shm_query_version_unchecked. See xcb-
       requests(3) for details.

ERRORS

This request does never generate any errors.
