setmetamode [ meta|bit|metabit | esc|prefix|escprefix ]

描述

沒有引數時, setmetamode 將列印當前 Meta 鍵模式; 有引數時, 設定所指出的 Meta 鍵模式.

The Meta key mode is specific for each VT (and the VT corresponding to stdin is used).

選項

The Meta key sends an Escape prefix.
The Meta key sets the high order bit of the character.

範例

可以用 setmetamode 在 /etc/rc 指令碼中定義 Meta 鍵模式的初始狀態. 例如, 可以如下設定:

INITTY=/dev/tty[1-8]
for tty in $INITTY; do
setmetamode escprefix < $tty
done
