NAME

       brebis - check your backup for corruption or unexpected content

SYNOPSIS

       brebis [-d DEL] [-c DIR] [-l FILE] [-g] ARG1 ARG2 ...

DESCRIPTION

       Brebis parses backups (archives and file tree) to perform several different checks in
       order to verify your backup integrity and its associated content.

OPTIONS

       -c, --configpath DIR
           the path to the configurations

       -C, --output-conf-dir DIR
           the directory to store the configuration file

       -d, --delimiter
           change the default delimiter identifying the fields in the list of files

       -G, --gen-full BACKUP
           generate the configuration file and the list of files for the backup

       -g, --gen-list BACKUP
           generate a list of files inside a backup

       -l, --log FILE
           the log file

       -L, --output-list-dir DIR
           the directory to store the list of files inside an archive or tree

       -O, --output-list-and-conf-dir DIR
           the directory to store the configuration file and list of files inside an archive or
           tree

EXAMPLES

       Generate the list of files and their attributes inside a backup

       $ brebis -g /backups/monthly-backup.tar.gz

       Launch Brebis indicating your configuration directory and your log file

       $ brebis -c /etc/brebis/ -l /var/log/brebis.log

       Change the default delimiter of the list of files produced by the -g option to "(":

       $ brebis -d \( -g /backups/monthly-backup.tar.gz
