NAME

       Prelude::gcDisable - Switch off garbage collector.

SYNOPSIS

       Void gcDisable( )

DESCRIPTION

       You may want this, for example, before executing some time-critical
            code which should not be interrupted by a garbage collection.
            Even explicit calls to Prelude.gc (3kaya) () are ineffective while collection is disabled.
