SYNOPSIS

       #include <sys/types.h>
       #include "lfc_api.h"

       int lfc_ping (char *server, char *info)

DESCRIPTION

       lfc_ping checks if the name server is alive and returns its version number.

OPTIONS

       server specifies the LFC Name Server hostname. If NULL, the LFC_HOST environment variable
