NAME

       TAU_GLOBAL_TIMER - Declares a global timer

SYNOPSIS

       C/C++:

       TAU_GLOBAL_TIMER(Profiler timer, char* or string& function_name, char* or string& type,
                        TauGroup_t group);

DESCRIPTION

       As TAU_PROFILE_TIMER is used within the scope of a block (typically a routine),
       TAU_GLOBAL_TIMER can be used across different routines.
