       zless - 圧縮されたテキストを CRT で見るためのファイル閲覧フィルタ

       zless [ name ...  ]

説明

       zless は、圧縮されたテキストファイルや通常のテキストファイルをソフト コピー端末上で一度に全画面で閲覧する
       ためのフィルタである。このコマンドは、  環境変数  LESSOPEN  に   '|gzip   -cdfq   --   %s'   を、環境変数
       LESSMETACHARS に '<space><tab><newline>;*?"()<>[|&^`#\$%=~' を設定して、less を実行するのと等価である。し
       かしながら、zless コマンドを利用できるようにするのはそれだけの価値のあることだと、 多くの人が思うことだろ
       う。

バグ

       zless は標準入力経由でパイプで渡された圧縮データでは動作しない。 zless には引き数で入力ファイルを指定する
       必要がある。 ...|zless の代わりに ...|gunzip|less を使うと、 圧縮データをパイプから読み込むことができる。
